〈On Your Own〉（只有自己）讓聽眾首次聽見 Blur 主唱大門亞邦對嘻哈樂風的興趣。
節奏鼓機、合成器做出的俏皮聲響，搭上能精巧又不失粗曠趣味的吉他，構成 Blur 後英搖時期難得很討喜的的歌曲，放下去，就是恰好份量的放鬆搭活力。
主唱大門跳上跳下吐出歌詞，談人皆有死，談人用瞬時快樂忘卻龐大的孤寂，有種年輕人稍帶裝腔作勢卻又理直氣壯的瀟灑。
這首作品其實沒有特別打中我，後來大門參與了很多我更喜歡的嘻哈作品。不過，我認為這是個獨特、不能不提的 Blur 時刻，不但讓我們又多聽見 Blur 的另一面，也標誌了大門受嘻哈樂風影響的開端。
其實這首歌的話我私心更偏好不插電版，覺得簡單的編曲更表現出了這首瀟灑歌曲的精髓。

不知道這是哪裡，加州嗎？這張專輯除了這首歌有提到加州，〈Country Sad Ballad Man〉的歌詞也讓我想到美國的中西部。真的感覺得到美國文化對 Blur 的影響在這個時期開始以更明顯的方式展現出來~
